CIRVA made a series of recommendations during its 11th meeting that includes immediate, near, medium and long term actions to prevent extinction of the vaquita. The report also covers the resluts of the acoustic monitoring programme, the biopsy and photo id survey, net removal Program and assessment of enforcement, an update on alternative gear development efforts, socio-economics and markets and post-VCPR efforts.
