Abstract

The Arabian Sea Whale Network Network (ASWN) represents an informal collaboration of researchers and conservation bodies interested in the conservation of whale populations throughout the Northern Indian Ocean. Formed at the conclusion of a January 2015 workshop in Dubai, it does not have formal legal status or governmental recognition, but serves as a mechanism to promote whale research and conservation in the region. This document provides an overview of the past year's activities and progress at regional and project-level, reflecting the dedicated efforts of many members.
