Swg-Cmp Members And Cmp Coordinators
Authors Summary
? There are five existing CMPs that continue to progress, the most recent being the South American River dolphin CMP endorsed by the Commission at the 2021 Virtual Special Meeting. There are four populations that have been deemed high priority for CMP development by the Scientific Committee (SC). While interest in the CMP program from IWC members remains strong, continuity of funding is a key challenge.
? A CMP ?handbook? has been drafted to function as the primary source of CMP program information and guidance for IWC members and stakeholders. The handbook has been uploaded as Attachment A to the CMP report for review/endorsement by the SC. The handbook will be presented by the Conservation Committee at IWC69 for endorsement.
? Progress against the CMP action plan is outlined in the table included in the report.

Abstract
Update from the Standing Working Group on Conservation Management Plans (SWG-CMP) to SC69B. The SWG-CMP has continued to implement the actions in the CMP Work Plan, which was endorsed by the Commission at IWC68. The IWC?s CMP program continues to develop and remains a unique and effective model for generating and maintaining range state support for at-risk cetacean populations globally.
