Abstract

This document outlines the data currently available for the assessment of humpback whales in the North Pacific Ocean. These data include commercial catches, bycatches, and aboriginal catches, indices of absolute and relative abundance based on photo-ID methods, and estimates of mixing rates based on photo-ID and genetic samples. The data sets will be included in a preliminary set of assessment models and refined and extended during SC68d.
