Abstract

This report summarises a southern right whale photo-ID catalogue comparison made between Peninsula Valdes, Argentina (1971-2017, 3813 individual whales) and Brazil (1987-2017, 1021 individual whales). There were 124 whales matched between both catalogues and no matches made within years. This represents 13.8% of catalogued Brazilian whales seen in the Argentine catalogue, matching the results of the previous 2010 catalogue comparison.
