Full Title

Abundance estimation of franciscana dolphins by means of aerial surveys in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, with comments on mortality rates

Author

Enrique A. Crespo, Magdalena Arias, Nicolás Sueyro, M. Florencia Grandi And Mariano A. Coscarella

Authors Summary

New estimates on Pontoporia for Argentina are presented. The preliminary results were discussed in the CMP meeting in December 2022. The paper was updated considering the observations and now the new estimates are available. The estimates are consistent with previous reports and are higher than previously thought. This leads to the need to recalculate mortality rates and new abundance estimations in waters deeper than 30m isobath.
